The Naturalist School is committed to helping people from all walks enter and experience nature more deeply and intimately by learning ecology and growing creativity. Our program partners throughout the U.S. and Canada host our workshops and hikes, but our adventures take us most often to the conservation areas and nature preserves in the Loess Hills, the Missouri and Platte River watersheds, and the Nishnabotna and Nodaway River Valleys in Iowa.
TNS is a private, independent nonprofit educational organization in partnership with Golden Hills RC&D. We rely on donations and grants to pay for our programs. Please support citizen science, conservation, creativity, and our good work to bring people closer to nature by making a contribution in any amount or by becoming a member. All donations and memberships are tax-deductible.
We have three levels of annual membership, based on calendar year:
Sustaining member: $100. Sustaining members have access to all regular TNS workshops, hikes, saunters, and surveys at no charge (with the exception of special regional, national, and international workshops.)
Regular member: $75. Regular members have access to all hikes and saunters at no charge, and receive discounted tuition for regular and local workshops.
Supporting member: $50. Supporting members have access to all TNS hikes and saunters, and will receive priority registration for TNS workshops.
Full-time students at accredited four-year institutions and become members at no charge.
Donations in any amount are appreciated!
